For those who have been watching the perpetual calendar, the U11 Coach/Manager meeting at CAYSA for tonight has been cancelled.
If we are going to get all of those folks out here, we don't have enough space to do it in one giant meeting. Look for a Coach/Manager Guide to appear in the Resources>Coaches section of the website soon, which will address the issues that would have been discussed in the meeting.
The calendar for 2016-2017 has been posted under Documents. This has plenty of detail for club admins to help coordinate the season. There are a couple of dates still to be determined, which we'll be updating as soon as we can.
Registration of teams for CAYSA's Fall 2016 leagues is open.
Team Coaches and Managers, please check with your club registrar before registering your team in the CAYSA league, as that is handled by most clubs on the team's behalf.
Registrars, registering your club through the links on the left side bar will make those leagues available for assignment through your Registrar account under the Club tab. Then you can quickly register teams in groups using the drop-down box, rather than one at a time through the registration portal.
While the USSF is making changes in the US, the International Football Association Board is changing the rulebook for everybody worldwide. The Laws of the Game book will have a new structure and language intended to make the laws easier to understand for referees and anyone else looking through them with the goal of making it easier to interpret and apply the rules with greater consistency. You can see the changes in IFAB's presentation.
STYSA has released the roster maximums for the new small sided game formats as part of a document which has been added to the Admin Resources page. For clubs that intend to play some of the youngest age groups as 3v3, please keep in mind that the maximum roster size for those should be twice the number of kids on the field, so coaches can meet the 50% play time requirement for those players.
Use caution when parking on non-paved surfaces.
No Updates for WCRP during the season. Please check home club website
